Galliard are recruiting for a Design Coordinator with proven experience to join a team at their Timber Yard at Pershore Street, Birmingham.

The Position

With an ever expanding presence in London and an increasing number of exciting projects in our development pipeline, we are looking to recruit a talented Design Coordinator to work on our Timber Yard development in Pershore Street. You will have proven experience as a Design Coordinator with a strong background in residential construction or from an architectural practice.

Duties include;

  • Liaise with the consultant design teams to deliver the tender and construction drawings in line with the construction and procurement programmes
  • Issue subcontractors and consultants with all information, drawings and packages 
  • Maintain Tender Event Schedule and issue to various departments
  • Maintain a register of any design changes, liaise with estimating to ensure that the costs report is maintained 
  • Issue buying and procurement with information packages for quantifying/tendering/purchasing of equipment for site
  • Attend/convene preconstruction design work shops with Design Team and subcontractors 
  • Attend workshops with the site team as necessary to resolve missing or non-coordinated information

The Person:

It is essential that the successful candidate must be/have;

  • An Architect (Desirable)
  • RIBA Part 3 Qualified (Essential)
  • Solid understanding and experience of running mixed use developments
  • Previous experience with a main contractor/developer or an architectural practice
  • Experience of working on projects from £5 million to £50 million plus 
  • Reliable, Flexible, and proactive
  • A good knowledge of various construction techniques and their implementation
  • Proven track of delivery in a fast paced construction environment
  • Successful track record of leading complex design projects
