Job Description

Galliard are recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to be based on site at their new residential development in Birmingham City Centre.

The Position

  • Maintaining the project directory
  • Maintaining key project information
  • Provide general ad hoc administrative support for the site staff
  • Attend site and design meetings to ensure that the information required by site is delivered
  • Actively maintain the register for all drawings and specifications supplied by the design team, contractors and subcontractors
  • To prepare, print and distribute reports, minutes and file notes
  • Proof reading documents and correspondence
  • Assist in issuing information, drawings and packages to subcontractors and consultants 
  • Maintaining all drawing records for the project both in hard copy and electronic formats

The Person

It is essential that you have experience of the following in order to be considered for this role;

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller
  • Experience of providing a high level of administrative support on a construction site or similar 
  • An understanding of design information and printing/binding techniques
  • Experience of working on large projects
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Will have good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be computer literate with a solid working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, Autocad and Microsoft office applications
