RMF Response to Covid-19

The outbreak of Coronavirus has temporarily altered the way in which we all now live and work. RMF have been working hard to adapt our expert training and to support our valued learners and clients throughout this difficult time. As a result, RMF can now deliver online interactive courses through a digital platform where learners can access training courses delivered by our tutors in a live capacity.

RMF have been working closely with the West Midlands Combined Authority and Lynch Plant Hire to adapt our current training provision as well as to create a range of new courses to be delivered on an online basis as a part of a pilot scheme for the Construction Gateway programme.

The online courses will be covering all theoretical elements of training as well as tutorials for practical elements that can be completed at a later date which will includes, but isn’t limited to:

  • Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment
  • CSCS Green Card training & Mock tests
  • CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper Truck
  • CPCS Ride on Roller
  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Rail Engineering Track Maintenance

Dara McCarthy, operations manager at RMF Construction, said: “We’re proud to be working with the WMCA to enable local people to continue to learn construction skills during these challenging times.

“We have filmed a series of video tutorials for our trainers to deliver digitally, and each candidate will be assigned an adviser who will assess their experience and develop a training plan.

The online courses are for adults who are unemployed, or on short-hours contracts or low-skilled jobs and are therefore eligible to join the Construction Gateway programme.

Candidates will also receive help with interview techniques, CV writing and employability skills as well as tutorials on how to use RMF’s socially inclusive online employment and training hub – RMF Fresh Start.

To sign up for online construction training with RMF or you would like to receive more information then please contact Lauren.m@rmfrs.co.uk today or simply comment below!

      Hi Peter,

The Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment and CSCS preparation course is a week long – so this will consist of 5 x 45 minute lessons with an RMF tutor.

      Hope this helps!
