RMF Fresh Start Training Opportunities
RMF have been running training through the Construction Gateway Project, in collaboration with the West Midlands Combined Authority, which is an employer-led initiative to support people into jobs and careers in the construction industry.
Training & Qualifications
The training that RMF provide is aimed at upskilling existing candidates within the industry whilst also training and introducing new entrants.
RMF Fresh Start have the following training taking place periodically throughout the year at the Houndsfield Lane Site:
- Introduction to Ground Works
- Banksman Training & Ticket
- CSCS Card
- Plant Machinery Roller/ Dumper
The courses aim to prepare candidates with basic construction skills as well as skilled tickets that are required for employment within the construction industry through front end works in preparation for site.
The courses generally take 4 weeks for new entrants to complete and gain the qualifications required to enter into employment.
Potential Job Opportunities
Learners who successfully complete the Basic Construction Skills Course will be able to apply to work in the following roles:
- Civils Projects
- Construction Site General Operative
- Construction Group Worker
- Construction Worker Highways
- Street Maintenance & Repair operative
